 A small charity based in the London Borough of Hounslow in west London which is the area they cover, along with the immediate surrounding areas. Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, fosterers, homecheckers and fundraisers, their policy is never to destroy an animal which has a reasonable quality of life to look forward to. Volunteers urgently required for fostering, home-checking and fund-raising.

  • Battersea Cats' and Dogs' Home:

 In 2010 Battersea will celebrate its 150th anniversary. It now has three centres, the original at Battersea and others at Brands Hatch and Old Windsor, taking in 12,000 dogs and cats each year. Their aim, where possible, is never to turn away an animal in need.

 The local RSPCA runs the 'Putney Animal Hospital' made famous when televised with Rolf Harris and also the Southall Cattery in Southall near Ealing. The RSPCA welcomes offers of help from all types of volunteers. 
 
  • Romney House Cat Rescue:

 Situated in the beautiful village of Downe in Kent, Romney House Cat Rescue is run by Silvana Valentino-Locke. Silvana is Italian and, with assistance from her team of volunteers, visitors Sardinia regularly to feed the colonies of ferals there and to work with local vets to neuter them and administer much-needed veterinary treatment. She often has in the region of 80 cats housed in chalets on her acres of land. Cats which are deemed unhomeable for whatever reason roam freely in the grounds and return happily for food and shelter when they want.

 Based in the London Borough of Richmond, A.R.C. aim to rescue, assist, foster and rehome animals in need. Also to give advice on animal welfare and promote responsible pet ownerhip. Permanent and loving foster homes always desperately needed to help their cause.
